히어 일러스트레이션은 일러스트가 상업 미술의 다양한 분야에 적용된 일례들을 보여주며 동시에 예술의 일환인 디자인 양식으로 소개한다.

나는 다양한 각 분야의 산업에서 활약하는 스타일을 갖춘 광범위한 일러스트레이터들의 다양한 작업과정을 이 책이 전문적으로 집약했다는 점에서 

히어 일러스트레이션을 추천하고 싶다. 

어떤 아티스트의 작업도 이 책에서는 참신한 재료를 새로운 테크닉으로 자신만의 독특한 스타일을 구축하는 작업과정으로 심도 있게 보여준다. 

내가 다른 책들을 접할 때 아쉬웠던 점은 인터뷰가 피상적이거나 예술 철학과 예술가의 본래 의도, 그리고 작업과정에서의 세밀한 디테일을 깊이 있게 

접할 수 없다는 것이었다. 

히어 일러스트레이션은 이러한 필요를 세심히 채워주고 나아가 당대의 삽화가와 그들의 작업공간과 작업과정을 책 속에 담아,

I recommend Here Illustration for how thoroughly it digs into the working practices of a wide variety of illustrators specializing in a range of styles from all corners 

of the industry. A vital part of any artist’s practice is to stay informed about developments in their field, from innovations in style to new ways of using techniques 

and materials. A big challenge I often face in studying other artists is a lack of in-depth interviews and resources that engage firsthand with an artist’s philosophy, 

origin story, and the finer details of their workflow. 

Here Illustration speaks directly to this need, and takes it one step beyond, allowing the reader to encounter contemporary illustrators, their workspaces, 

and their process in book form, in a print medium that affords deeper, more meaningful browsing - a more focused counterpoint to the flow of social media and

엮은이 소개

크리에이티브 작가인 임현아는 출판업계에서 9년간 활동하고 있는 에디터 겸 북디자이너이자 번역가이다. 2021년 봄, 첫 저서인 '디자이너 10인과의 다이얼로그'를 

출간하고, 이어 "Here"시리즈물의 편집과 북디자인을 하고 있다. 이화여자대학교 불어불문학과 졸업 후 뉴욕 파슨스 스쿨 오브 디자인에서 실내디자인을 전공, 

아카데믹 아너즈로 졸업했다. 

도서출판 아키랩에서 작가이자 디자이너로 활동했으며, 6년간 (주)에이앤씨 출판사에서 월간 BOB의 에디터 겸 번역가로 일한 바 있다. 세계 각지의 저명한 디자이너들과 

전문적인 인터뷰를 하면서 독자들에게 글로벌한 디자인 세계를 보다 진솔하고 친밀하게 보여준다. 최근에는 포레드림을 설립하여 각종 인쇄물의 일러스트와 

북디자인을 하고 있다. 

한국외국어대학교와 가천대학교를 포함한 여러 대학에서 학생들에게 영어 강의를 했으며, 청소년 영자신문 에듀타임즈에서 기자로 활동했다. 

최근 출간한 책으로는 'Here Graphics vol.2' (2022)와 'Here Graphics vol.1' (2021)이 있으며, 밀라노 공과대학 교수인 이코 밀리오레와 협업하여 번역가와 에디터로 

'이코 밀리오레 스케치 경관 지도'를 2019년에 출간했다. 이밖에 출판된 책으로 '스케치북 드로잉 & 렌더링' (2018), '미니 빌딩 no.2' (2016), 'L4 no.6' (2015)의 

에디터와 번역가로 참여했다.

Creative author, Hyunah Lim has been working as an editor, book designer and translator for 9 years in the publishing industry. 

She published 'Dialogue with 10 Designers' in the spring of 2021 as an author and has been working on editing and designing the "HERE" series books. 

Upon graduating from Ewha Womans University majoring in French Language and Literature, she went to New York to study Interior Design. 

She graduated from Parsons School of Design with academic honours. She worked as an author and book designer at Archi-Lab Publishing in Korea. 

She had worked at A&C Publishing Co., Ltd for six years, taking part in the publication of BOB magazine as an editor and translator. 

During her career paths, she specializes in interviewing world renowned designers and gives chances for readers to appreciate the in-depth design knowledge and 

global design languages in a friendly manner. Establishing her own firm, Forêt de Lim, she has recently widened up her passion to work as an illustrator and 

continues creating book designs. She taught English at several universities including Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and Gachon University. She also 

worked as an editor for the juvenile English newspaper, EduTimes. She edited and designed the book, 'Here Graphics vol.2' (2022) and 'Here Graphics vol.1' (2021). 

She collaborated as a translator and editor with Ico Migliore, professor of Politecnico di Milano to publish 'Ico Migliore Sketches Sceneries Maps' (2019). 

And also she participated in publishing 'Sketchbook Drawing & Rendering' (2018), 'Mini Building no.2' (2016), and 'L4 no.6' (2015) as an editor and translator.
