 한국 건축의 최전선, 운생동

‘한국 건축의 최전선, 운생동’은 한국 건축에서 그 존재감을 드러내는 운생동건축사사무소의 작품과 운생동건축을 바라보는 건축 전문가의 글을 살펴볼 수 있는 책이다. 2018년 10월 19일부터 ADIK갤러리에서 진행된 운생동 건축의 전시에 맞춰 출판된 이 책은 운생동의 과거와 현재를 살펴보고 앞으로 나아갈 운생동의 모습에 대한 고민을 담은 책이기도 하다.
‘한국 건축의 최전선, 운생동’에는 운생동 건축의 32개의 프로젝트와 16명의 건축 전문가의 글이 함께 담겼다. 각 프로젝트는 모형 사진을 시작으로 간단한 소개 글, 준공 사진, 그래픽 이미지 등으로 소개된다. 준공 사진을 앞세운 기존의 건축 책과는 다르게 모형 사진을 앞세워 그들의 건축적 실험을 생각해보고 이후 소개되는 준공 사진을 함께 비교하는 재미도 좋을 듯하다. 이 책에는 16명의 건축과 교수가 운생동을 위한 비평이나 객관적인 평가가 담긴 글이 담겼는데 독자들도 이 글을 통해 운생동 건축을 다시금 살펴볼 수 있길 바란다.
