2003년 창립한 본사는 지난 20년간 건설과 인테리어 관련 도서, 잡지, 화보 등 인테리어와 건축에 관련된 콘텐츠 만을 개발해 온 인테리어ㆍ건축 전문 출판 기업이다. 도서출판아키랩은 ‘건축과 인테리어 문화의 기반을 확장하고 더 나은 환경을 위한 디자인 업계의 중요한 역할을 한다’ 를 신조로 삼고 인테리어와 건축 분야의 잡지를 통해 전 세계의 최신 프로젝트와 다양한 단행본을 출간해왔다. 현재 건축문화, bob 등의 잡지를 통해 전세계의 최신 프로젝트와 다양한 디자인 아이디어 작품을 소개함으로써 건축과 실내디자인에 대한 국내외 신경향 및 비전을 제시하고 있다. 이러한 월간지 외에도 국내의 주제별 프로젝트를 모아놓은 '한국, 오늘, 건축' 시리즈, 인테리어에 활용된 그래픽 디자인 요소를 모아놓은 그래픽, 학생들의 졸업작품을 담은 졸업작품집 등 다양한 도서를 함께 출간하고 있다.
